ANALYSIS

Things are getting pretty tight between my team and Joel’s. His squad did some serious work on Saturday, especially with Ricky Rubio, Nicolas Batum and Spencer Hawes stuffing the stat sheet to the extent that they did. My D-RODs made some gains—moderate ones in three-pointers and free throw percentage, significant ones in blocks and field goal percentage—but have ultimately seen their 5-3 lead on the scoreboard slip into a 4-4 tie.

All of which should make Wild Card Sunday that much more thrilling, at least for those of you who have any interest in tracking other peoples’ fantasy basketball teams.

ANALYSIS

I must say, I was flabbergasted when I first found out that Joel had only a single player (Andrew Bogut) suiting up for Sunday’s seven-game slate. Unless my entire six-man contingent goes belly up all at once and/or Bogut has the game of his frickin’ life, my D-RODs should, at the very least, finish in a 4-4 tie with Rhymes with Antetokounpo.

And if my players are productive, they should be able to pull ahead in steals and, perhaps, free throw percentage on the way to just their second winning week of the 2013-14 season.

Which wouldn’t be a bad way to ring in the new year, now would it?
