ANALYSIS

Well well, would you look at that. My Derrick Rosie O’Donnells have pulled even on the cards with Mike Walsh’s Big State. Solid nights from Goran Dragic, Jameer Nelson and Joakim Noah put us ahead in assists, in addition to our ever-expanding advantages in three-pointers made, rebounds and blocks.

Now comes the hard part: making up enough ground on Saturday in at least one of the four categories that Big State currently owns to give my D-RODs just their second winning week of their inaugural season…

ANALYSIS

The NBA’s will be sliced to nine games on Saturday from the whopping 12 it put together on Friday, though the drop-off shouldn’t have any ill effects for my D-RODs. In fact, I should have more players participating today than I did yesterday.

Which, in turn, figures to give me the “simple math” advantage, 9-7.

Better yet, all of my most productive players (i.e. Dragic, Nelson, Noah, Nene, Serge Ibaka and even Kris Humphries, strangely enough) are scheduled to be in action tonight. Walsh, on the other hand, will have to forge ahead with Monta Ellis and Kenneth Faried leading the way and Rudy Gay sitting on the bench with the dormant Sacramento Kings.

At this point, it’d require a collective effort of Herculean proportions for the D-RODs to pull ahead on the scoreboard. Then again, with the way they’ve been scrapping this week, I wouldn’t put anything past ’em.
