ANALYSIS

For the second day in a row, my hopes for progress were dashed by the basic fact that my opponent also had players in action.

Go figure.

Paul Pierce and Serge Ibaka both put forth strong performances for their respective squads and for mine, but The Pipe’s 3-2 “simple math” advantage largely mitigated whatever gains I would’ve otherwise gotten. None of his three—between Dwight Howard, Raymond Felton and Luis Scola—had a standout game, but all three were solid enough to fend off my pair and, in essence, keep our matchup right where it had been heading into the weekend.

ANALYSIS

With 12 games on the schedule in the NBA on Friday, it’s no wonder we both have complete lineups ready to go tonight. I had to finagle things a bit to make sure that my D-RODs would have 10 representatives for the occasion, but it worked out in the end.

Now, it’s up to my minyan of minions to ring in the Sabbath with some big numbers to give one Jewish Josh (me) a clear advantage over another Jewish Josh (Cohen) heading into the heart of the weekend.

GO D-RODs!!!
