I happened upon this little gem of a trade proposal when I opened up my e-mail inbox last night:
Apparently, Adam Fromal was among the many who took a keen interest in the Toronto Raptors‘ reserve wings after catching wind of the trade that sent Rudy Gay to the Sacramento Kings. Gay’s departure should open up more playing time for Ross, who tallied 11 points, three rebounds and two steals on Sunday during the Raptors’ win over the Los Angeles Lakers, who were welcoming back Kobe Bryant from a torn Achilles.
It’s flattering, then, that my boy A-Fro would inquire about a swap. I mean, I snagged Ross as a free agent last week, and now I’ve got another Bleacher Report scribe practically beating down my door to get him. I’m pleased, really.
There was a time, too, when this trade would’ve made sense for me. There was a stretch of seven games in November during which Shaun Livingston registered six double-digit scoring efforts for the Brooklyn Nets. Deron Williams’ bad ankles all but guarantee that Livingston will have more opportunities to produce in the future.
But, on the whole, Livingston’s trajectory is a downward one. If/when D-Will gets healthy, Livingston will be relegated to mop-up duty. At best, he’s a backup who can fill in (and has filled in) as a starter when called upon, with mixed results.
Ross, on the other hand, is still on the up-and-up. The high-flying former Washington Husky is nearly two months shy of his 23rd birthday and (in all likelihood) need only outplay Landry Fields to lock down a starting spot in T-Dot.
As such, I’m leaning heavily toward allowing this trade proposal to expire, as it will tomorrow night at 8:05 pm ET. Still, I’d like to see what you folks out there have to say about it. Do you think I should accept the offer? Decline it? Let it die on the vine? Let me know in the poll below:

ANALYSIS
Another week, another rematch—this time against Bleacher Report NBA Draft guru Jon Wasserman. The last time they faced off against the Chicken Bargnani Heroes, my D-RODs were summarily spanked, 6-2, with only victories in field goal percentage and rebounds of which to speak.
Injuries have since decimated Wass’ roster, with second-year studs Bradley Beal and Anthony Davis both succumbing to the breaks of the game. As regular readers of The Lazy Man’s Guide probably know, my team has dealt with its fair share of health-related strife, though none of my absentees—not even Paul Pierce—can measure up to either Beal or Davis (much less both) in Fantasy Land.
Maybe this will be the week that the Derrick Rosie O’Donnells pull out the W. Stay tuned to find out…
